Ash Wednesday is a moveable fast, as it is dependent on the date of Easter.<\/p>\n<p>While administering ashes priest \/ minister recites the words:<\/p>\n<h3>&#8220;Remember (O man) that you are dust, and to dust you shall return&#8221;<\/h3>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">or<\/div>\n<h3>&#8220;Repent, and believe the Gospel.&#8221;<\/h3>\n<div>[ad#ad-2-300&#215;250]<\/div>\n<h3>What people do on Ash Wednesday:<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Considers attending a church for an Ash Wednesday service. In a Catholic church, the priest will dip his thumb into previously blessed ashes and mark your forehead in the shape of a cross.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">He speaks the words: &#8220;Remember, man, that thou art dust and unto dust thou shalt return.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Ash Wednesday is a good time to think about significant things in your life and to try to set your priorities. Regret your mistakes, purify yourself and prepare for\u00a0holy\u00a0Ester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent. You can simply think about Ash Wednesday as the beginning of a time of remorse for your past conduct and prayer and getting preparing for the Ester.
